  • SYNOPSIS

    From dancing to eating, from Argentina to the west zone, and from love to hatred is “The Fire of the Rose”: a contemporary, modern and highly emotional story. A plot set in the country and the city, portrays the journey of real people, with the dramas and daily lives that everybody can relate to. Glamour, humour, hope and love are this soap's four pillars. A soap opera set in a modern day country, where people can dream of a better tomorrow.

    Gilda Azevedo Mayer, the grandmother. Maria Mayer, eldest granddaughter, a flamenco dancer. Matilde Mayer, youngest granddaughter. These women run a pharmaceutical empire – which includes “Forella”, a hair products’ company making up a family that fate has reduced to these three women. They are strong and close, but their lives are about to be turned upside down with the arrival of José da Maia. He's a seductive man, who wants to take over the Mayer fortune and who has devised a plan to achieve this by posing as the son Gilda had 50 years ago. Gilda then lives under the illusion of having her son back with her. Little does she know that José is actually responsible for Horácio's death - her real son – who was taken to Argentina as a small child, and where he has lived for his whole life.
